A story from when I worked at a fast food restaurant

A few years ago,I worked at a fast food place that's one of the highest in the chains. From when I started there,we were always told to encourage people to give money to our fundraiser boxes for helping children(St.Jude's Hospitals,I believe),and to give money ourselves when possible. I generally thought that was fair as long as it wasn't pushy or anything,so I did at the time.Well, one morning I come in a little early to the general manager opening the fundraiser boxes and putting the money in her pockets.I ask her what she's doing and she said this is how she makes her manager wage as she deserves it for dealing with us and customers. I ended up quitting that day and trying to tell HR about it(I wasn't aware of other ways to handle it better at the time)and it ended up not getting dealt with.I don't believe she works there…

If someone has some advice for if there's anything I can still do somehow,I'd greatly appreciate it.
