… should I be worried?

This new manager has been working with us since a week ago and he has gone from 0-100 fast. It’s a shame really cause I thought he would be a great fit (for the first two days anyway). He told me he needs to “recondition” me so I do not work past my end time… Does that sound like a normal thing to be said to someone who’s been at the company for over 5 years? The term reconditioning is really throwing me off… just gives me a negative vibe along with all the other issues he’s been causing already. Thoughts?? Edit: we are little company who’s way under staffed. if things don’t get done we get in shit but we aren’t allowed to take the time to do the things if they need to be done after work (can’t be about overtime as we get none) and they keep…
