Currently correcting employees who work with me. Apparently they were told they cannot discuss wages with eachother, discuss raises, etc by no other than HR.
Its become clear to me more than ever that RETAIL employees really need to discuss their fucking pay. Its disgusting to me as a supervisor, and I literally dont know where to turn. I cant turn to HR, because they clearly don’t know the rules, and I cant turn to my boss about it because im pretty sure hes on her side.
H&M pulls MILLIONS daily. Millions. I see what comes through, and goes out, and H&M tells their employees they cant afford $15 an hour for all employees, when I know our district on average pulls 20 Million dollars WEEKLY.
NOT MONTHLY. Weekly. There is serious fucking money involved in these clothing and fast fashion chains, and they tell us, they cant give us raises. That we cant discuss wages. And it makes me feel sick to work for them, but I literally dont know where else id apply or work.
Anyways. Fuck H&M and the fact they lie to their employees. I hope I can start something slowly with the people I work with, because constantly hearing them tell me they were told they cant tell me certain things about pay from our HR rep is fucked.
This all stems from my coworker excicted about her raise to $12 an hour from $10 an hour. And were supposed to start our sales advisors at $12 an hour, not $10.
Fucking. Disgusting.
