Hello, I’m 20 years old and I’ve been an assistant manager at a candle shop (that isn’t bath and body works) for just short of a month. It. Fucking. Sucks. There isn’t shit to do, and I only make $12.19 an hour, which is shitty anyway but especially for a management position. I’m also supposed to be working part time because I’m starting school but they keep giving me 37 hours a week which includes 9 hour shifts. I already have some interviews but I’m still nervous about quitting, just bc I’m afraid of possible confrontation. I’m putting my notice in tonight, but is there any advice you can give me regarding how to word it and psyching myself up to actually do it? Thanks!
