I feel strongly about this as someone who spent twenty years paying off debt from three back-to-back spinal surgeries. No pun intended. Hospitals should not be making this kind of money. Frankly, they should not be making any money. It should be something funded by our taxes. Health is a frakking right. America sucks in this regard. I need three more surgeries, but would rather not walk or use my arm anymore than be in debt again. I deal with pain all day, every day.
I was first on scene to a horrific accident a few days ago (it happened in front of me) and was looking up the hospital the mother and daughter were taken to and saw this. Sickening.
