Accounting Job Duties

Anyone else apply for a position in Accounting, and end up being tasked with all kinds of additional admin responsibilities? I applied for a remote Staff Accountant role, and was asked to come into the office for a while for the owner to “get to know me”. He had my things moved to the reception desk and told me I'd also be responsible for ordering snack and lunches, maintaining the supply closet, assisting Sales and Marketing, and CLEANING THE KITCHEN! We've had new management come on board and I have told them this is unacceptable, but they say this is common practice. Even as an Clerk I wasn't asked to perform these duties. Am I the crazy one?
