I'm about to go into an interview for a job with less responsibilities and higher pay. Also, potentially switching to a hybrid situation. If I get an offer from the new company, I want to come back to my current employer and see if they are willing to discuss wage.
This will be my first time ever discussing a raise for a job. I really like my current company, but the wage isn't where I'd like to be. For reference, I currently am a team lead for a small customer service department and the new job would be a base level customer service agent.
Does anyone have some tips on how to approach my current employer once I receive the offer? Thanks!
