Advice on quitting a new job?

I started in a new position with a new (to me) company this week. It’s only day 2 and there have been some serious red flags such as: • expected OT (unpaid) – this seems to be the company cultural standard • excessive amounts of “last minute” calls to jump on to – which leads to not taking my unpaid lunch break until 3 or 4pm in the day. (The work day is described as 9am-6pm in the employee handbook) • no clear org structure for me to follow – I’m expected to have figured out who everyone on my relatively large team is already just by sleuthing for the information (it’s only DAY 2) My main disappointment is that I was sold a different picture of this role and company. My main disappointment is that I was sold a different picture of this role and company. I did my research, read reviews from employees, asked specific questions in interview, all the stuff you’d think would give you a relatively informed opinion before signing on! I’m incredibly tired of going through entire interview processes only to be hoodwinked.

My question is: how do I quit? 2 weeks notice seems to be mandatory. I’m afraid of being called ridiculous for wanting to leave only 2 days in, but if this is how it is for a new person I think it can only get worse, and I can’t shake the gut feeling that this is “not bad” in comparison to what the future might hold if I stay.

I’m just a human being that wants to eat at a relatively normal time of the day, have a roof over my head and eek out some life in the evenings.
