Advice on the WFH conundrum

My workplace has integrated a hybrid working schedule where we do some days in the office and some from home. A set number of these days are mandatory in office. However, I've noticed a disturbing trend where some senior team members just flat out ignore this instead picking and choosing when they show up to the office. I had a health concern a short while ago which meant I had to take time off so I asked my manager if I could work from home and it was a right hassle getting him to agree to it. Fast forward to today and I'm the only one present in the office so I decided to go home in my lunch break. Should I feel bad?
