I’m currently working for an agency as a behavior technician for children on the autism spectrum. We provide therapy at their houses so sometimes it can be a long commute.
I’m getting assigned a new client and the agency requested that I shadow the current behavior technician to see what the child is working on and techniques they’re using. The session is 4 hours. Now this is all fine and reasonable BUT what gets me is that I was told that this will be UNPAID!!
Is this even legal? And what happens if i get hurt during this session? In this situation would it be on me and not a work related injury even though i am there for work purposes?
