I work in a nursing home. My supervisor talks mad shit about others, the caregivers use elderspeak, the Maintenance guy is a douche, and the Main laundry man talks my ear off about mundane ear-echoey jargon.
The other housekeeper is nice, the food aides are chill, and Zach (supervisors son) is like me but 5-10 years older. Maybe he sees something in me.
I am Aiden. Trench coat, tool gun, rocket boots. Flying through. Taking a ride on the housekeeping cart; mopping, sweeping, cleaning shit, the 9-yarded DRILL.
It’s easy to hold a key down and activate the thrusters; but sometimes my co workers sew passive-aggression into their social fabrics. Oh, to stand up and make me proud; turn around and TOOL ‘EM DOWN!!!!!!!!!! Justice in reach, yet the contrary is an easier lie.
It’s fun to listen in on co workers and how they interact; how they give themselves power through the small, selfish activities. Treating the elderly like they’re kids. It should be a 2040 styled rave/chill home. Make them feel young through the future. Jump them ahead 20 years. Give them a NEW era. A personalized, newer feeling. Lights. Music. Relationships. Connections. Just a thought! Death is imminent for some of them; why not go out in style? Nostalgic environments are great, but brings too much of the past back. Give them a new future.
Furthermore, I have access to their shreddable documents. If I see more happen in this facility, a case could be created. And maybe Zach could be the Z in ARZ (Aiden Rover Zach) He would enjoy the power of destroying corruption, I reckon.
I have yet to find a Rover. But perhaps when I do, ARZ could create a damn fine case against the neglect and shit-scents throughout the building wings. C wing. Swing. Swing around, and take a ride on the housekeeping cart.
