at this large scale company i was:
hired in a hr admin role with no hr experience, was told to go through employee resumes to get info, continued doing this while colleague returned from vacation as no one told me otherwise and thought it would be productive to look at why X was hired vs Y or why X skills got them an interview instead of scrolling on twitter in my spare time. boss and i spoke about it, was a miscommunication, nbd, so i stopped doing it immediately. case closed? no, my boss hits me 2 weeks later threatening me with a formal meeting for termination 😐 we had the formal meeting wiht another woman from hr but “we'll move on from it”/nbd/just covering her ass for not telling me. fine.
since then higher ups have been harping on about compliance. yawn.
waited 2+ months for a salary review response only to get told no despite hitting 2023 targets in 2022. ok whatever.
contract ended friday, same day it's announced they are being investigated & fined already 1m for underpaying employees. told my boss the extension letter i received had the wrong date on it. said she'd get back to me, asked if i signed my initial contract [if i didnt i wouldnt be working there for the past 6 months :|] seems like she couldnt find my contract to verify this [it's in docusign! one of the 2 places she would have had to look if she bothered, did i tell her? hell no i wanted monday off and i got it]. told her via email on friday – i'm not working without official documentation as it states in my contract and to send the updated letter to my personal email – haven't heard A THING! they thought i was going to show up today [monday] with no documentation stating i was employed until this coming friday 29/01.
big project coming up, i'm the only one competent enough to do the job within a few weeks – if im not there it will blow out to a few months which they don't have 😀 they just hired a new person to assist [who is extremely stupid, from a dropdown box of 4 options she took a full minute+ to ponder whether a location of employment letter would be the 'location' option – the other options were hours, position and remuneration :”D] and are hiring another but that's taken them 2months suggesting either no one wants to work there or the people that do are extremely shit – i'm thinking the former.
sayonara suckers! didn't even have to put in my resignation 🙂 prob think i'm going to show up this friday.
