I started this job part-time, just over a year ago. Used to work 20-30 hour weeks, then only worked weekends during my last 2 semesters of college. During the winter break, I returned and did full-time hours for a couple weeks.
Now that I'm off again for the summer until classes resume, I check my schedule to find only 8 hours. I gave them full availability, every fucking day of the week any time.
For context, I have a supportive family so don't need full-time work. But wtf, that's not even enough hours to pay for my hobbies/classes.
I work at a unionized employer, and they supposedly guarantee at least 15 hours of work for people with 1 year of seniority. Am I getting screwed over, and is it time for a new job? I was great friends with my coworkers..
