So I’ve worked with this company for 3.5 years. They have 2 different locations. One is a human bar/dog park, and the other is a dog daycare. I’ve worked both.
The turnover rate at both locations is med-high. The daycare has been open 10 months and we have almost all new staff from when we opened.
I say all that to say that I think I’m a valuable team member. I’ve been there the longest just under our GM. All the other staff feel comfortable coming to me and my customer service is excellent.
I got promoted to manager at the daycare back in August. This set my pay at $18. Well the daycare isn’t making any money so the owner is making cuts and some very bad business decisions because he’s an idiot that doesn’t know how to run a daycare. Anyway, yesterday he decided to demote me to just a regular shift lead. This took my pay from $18 to $16 just before Christmas.
I’m so pissed! I’ve been there for so long and bust my ass for this place. Am I being dramatic or do I have a right to be mad?
