Okay a little backstory; I have a degree in Horticulture and am currently working as a landscaper making 19/hr, around 30 hours a week only due to a few injuries that limit how many hours I can work without being completely useless. It's a very laborious job but I love being outside and the pay is nice.
I recently got a second job as a barista VERY close to where I live and I enjoy it so much. It's owned and ran by a woman and her husband who are the sweetest people. The work is a lot more enjoyable and doesn't screw up my body nearly as much as landscaping. The only downside is a cut in pay but I'd also make tips.
Would it be insane to quit my good paying job and take a $7/hr cut in pay to work full time at my second job as a barista? I'd have to work 40 hours again but I feel like I'd still be so much happier and not as exhausted due to the nature of the job.
Not sure what to do but I'm very tempted to quit my landscaping job on Monday when I get back from vacation 🤣 I need advice!!!!
