Until last Friday where I needed to work from home because I wasnt feeling well, and told my manager so a day earlier. He said I wasnt allowed to work from home on Friday…
I didnt say I didnt want to work, just that I needed to work from home that single day. I still wanted to do my work.
I turned on the work laptop and went to log in as usual — to my surprise — my account was “on lockdown for security reasons.” Either my manager or someone else higher up blocked me from doing my job.
I contacted my manager and he told me: “If you cant work from the office today, dont log in.”
And later I asked if my account would remain blocked, to which he replied: “I am going to unblock you, but if you are at home, please dont log in today.”
He straight up didnt want me to do my work.
So last friday I was on a forced unpaid leave.
