Am I in the wrong for feeling like this?

So I work for a company at home answering calls all day. I went for an internship for a higher position which I did not get. I got told the reason why was because of a failure to communicate, now keep in mind I have a severally ill wife who requires me to use my approved FMLA leave, I found out that the so-called issue happened on a day that I used FMLA. I believe my FMLA was held against me for a job opportunity that I really wanted and truly enjoyed. I am so fed up with this company as I have been with them for 1.5 years at this point and have watched countless co-workers get burnt out and leave or get fired over false accusations due to personal beef. It is to the point that when I can leave I will be doing it with no notice since they did me dirty.

Is this what jobs are about now??? like really they suck the soul out of you, drain your energy, and kill your passion??? I feel like I live to work and will keep working for the rest of my life without being able to enjoy my hobbies due to extreme fatigue.

Is this normal or am I weird for finding this to be an issue?
