Hi just wanting everyone's honest opinion on a scenario. I will explain this in 2 parts my entire perspective as well as the leads/supervisor perspective.
When you all read this statement please note that I am, in no way, shape or form arrogant but I'm one of the best at my job. I can complete a task roughly 1/2-3/4's faster than other employees. I know how long it will take me to complete a certain task, what appropriate methods to use, and the amount of time I can essentially relax before I start a task. With all of those positives in mind here are the negatives of my performance, I call out at least once a month or every two months. I'm late on a daily basis, and I'm confrontational to a certain extent. Granted I realize that the negative traits will draw attention to myself but I sill find myself thinking that it's kind of acceptable to continue my behavior because of how good I am. Once again trying not to sound arrogant but it's kind of difficult lol.
When I called out last time I was sent to an area I do not like working in as a unspoken punishment. I confronted the lead about it and got a half ass answer, didn't really clarify yes or no. It left me in a salty mood for the rest of the day which in turn affected my performance. Later on the supervisor started talking shit to me rudly and unprofessional, I mean confronting me with other employees around and threatening my job. He is general a rude person but I'm accustomed to it but it still irritates me from time to time. About 20 minutes later I went to talk to him and it was a semi productive conversation, he explained his views which were he wants everyone on time and productivity to be acceptable, which is fair. After the talk I felt better and more motivated but I still have a lingering mental issue with the lead. He is now ignoring me because I brought up the possibilities of punishment yesterday with the conversation with the supervisor.
I try to keep everything respectful but this isnt a job with a lot of rules towards conduct in the workplace. What I want to know is what is you guys take on the situation, am I in the wrong or right? Or just opinions in general
