Am I required to show up at work on my day off for a mandatory staff meeting?

Am I required to show up at work on my day off for a mandatory staff meeting? I am salaried, but also curious how this would affect my hourly coworkers. I received an email (sent to everyone, not just me) reprimanding those who did not show up.
