I work on a site (as a contractor) with a few other contractors. I applied for a job with one of them and they emailed my boss saying that I applied with them. They already agreed to hire me this morning, but I told them I wanted to put in my two weeks notice first and they said they were ok with it. There was no paperwork of any kind signed. My boss called me sounding very upset asking about it. Is it wrong for me to be upset with them doing this before I even give my notice? I understand they might want to move my name in the site’s system over to them, but that felt way too soon. Is this a red flag? Has anyone dealt with this kind of thing before?
