And just like that I’m back on the hamster wheel

Started a contract gig last month, work was expected to run through until February and now all staff just received a mass email stating there is not enough work and we will finish up on December 9. I get that contract work is just that, and I know there are no guarantees, but I was really hoping this job could offer a little stability as I am already playing catch up from being out of work before this. Right before Xmas, I have no money or savings, I am living week to week at best and I have no idea what I am going to do now. I am so sick of busting my ass, trying to make a good impression, saying yes to everything so I appear willing and able to help, jumping through hoop after hoop for an interview/reference checks. Right before Xmas, I have no money or savings, I am living week to week at best and I have no idea what I am going to do now. I just don't know how we're supposed to keep going, things are just getting so unbelievably tough with no sign of easing.
