So my large company hosted a company wide survey for how teams are doing and tested different areas. During the debrief and discussion on my teams survey results, we talked about what we will do next year to improve the scores. I (25F) volunteered for one of them and me and another guy are partnering on this. He is only a few years older than me.
Last week we got a reminder from the team leader to get started brainstorming. After I get an email from buddy saying “ hey, let’s get started on this. Please schedule some time with me.” I was super triggered by this because it’s like if you know we need to meet why can’t you just schedule the meeting. So before my anger were off, I scheduled the meeting & I wrote back with full animosity “next time feel free to schedule the meeting, my calendar is up to date. I’ll start brainstorming too!”
My plan for the meeting is to ask him why he sent me an email telling me to schedule the meeting. Am I taking this the wrong way? It’s just most people would never say that, they would just schedule the meeting if they knew they needed to meet with someone. I feel like he is getting an ego boost getting me to do easy admin work.
