My company (consulting) apparently came up with this new policy for my cohort of university hires approaching our first year, getting back first annual performance reviews. We’re to be ranked 1-5, where 3 is average and above 3 = up for raise, bonus, promotion, etc.
Managers were told 3 was the max they could give us.
Is that like… something they can really do? There’s no workplace protections against that?
