Just wanted to share a little snippit from an interview by the new owner of the company where I work… Basically the guy is a royal asshat and is hoping for a recession so employees will live in fear for their job security and stop talking about working from home.. for the past year we had been going back 25% of the time, and recently we started going back 50% of the time, then out of nowhere they announced a 100% return in the next few months, no exceptions.
Also, Management was told to “examine their capital structure,” which generally means layoffs, especially when this company runs so barebones that there isn't anything left to cut.
I'm currently updating my resume to test the waters and sincerely hope the rest of my coworkers are doing the same. This place is known for paying 20% to 30% less than other companies, but I had been content with the area I work. Now I just want to watch the fucking place burn. It's tempting to stay just to watch the fire from the inside. I'm fortunate enough to have saved a bit of money after seeing how terribly companies treated people during the 2007-2009 recession. Godspeed, fuckers.
