I am in the job of my dreams right now.
It's 100% remote. Great benefits. Good PTO. Chill coworkers, good boss. And the work is ridiculously, ridiculously light and easy.
But the pay ain't great. 48K a year, and even in the South, that's starting to become just enough to live paycheck to paycheck. Which is scary with the increase in price for every fucking thing lately…and it seems for forever.
But, my god, the time this job gives me. I nap, take walks, make music, cook food, run errands, do whatever the fuck I want for the majority of my day. This is irreplaceable to me.
But I'm also concerned about my tight budget, so I considered getting a new, higher-paying job.
But that means I could walk into a job from hell. Hard work, shitty company, miserable life. I lucked out getting this job; had no clue the work would be like this. It could be the opposite story for a new place.
What would you do?
ETA: I've only been here 9 months and it's an entry-level role and my first job ever. Thus the 48K salary.
