Any jobs where I can bring my own entertainment to pass the time?

I currently work as a security guard and I probably work at the easiest post. It's a utilities site where my duties are to walk around and do a patrol every 2 hours. The patrols only take 10 minutes and I go back to my shack and sit down. While there I don't have much to do aside from opening the gate for other vehicles who don't have a badge. So most of the time I am sitting on my phone or playing on my gaming handhelds to pass the time. The only other people I talk to is my reliefs, the workers if I happen to bump into them when I need to warm up my food or use the bathroom, and the supervisor that only comes every other week. Other than that none bothers me. I don't want to get a “normal” job and work to me is…

I hear being a night time janitorial or night time hotel reception clerk has lots of downtime for entertainment. But I am looking for other work similar to what I do that doesn't have pointless busywork.
