Any other young engineers feeling distraught and lied to about this career path? I’m over 3 years in and making 60k and home prices have went up so quickly in my area in those 3 years that I’m completely priced out. Everyone on Reddit says switch jobs but I’ve tried and they offer me either the same or lower pay to work for them as an engineer.
All that time and money and effort to get a Mechanical Engineering degree and I have to be a permanent renter with roommates, I really feel depressed over my situation. Any other young engineers feel distraught over being lied to about this career path?
