I don't expect “free handouts” or anything like that, but my job isn't cutting it. I am making 20k less than I should with the type of degree I have and a ton of experience. Yet, I have spent almost a year at my current job and have little to nothing to show for it. I have applied within the company and have been turned down for one better job and will probably not be able to move up because I am in a health service without a clinical degree. I have behavior health degrees. So I am basically stuck until something comes open that I am qualified for. Even then, I will probably be passed over for someone with more years where I work.
I have applied to the Trevor Project as a remote job, but I was wondering if there was anything else that I could do remotely? When I tried to ask my local subreddit they basically told me to get lost. I didn't expect them to tell me about a remote job that would hire me immediately at $20 an hour, but I thought maybe someone was in the same boat as me.
There is some insurance company that is solely remote, like Assurance or something like that? I tried asking two people who were going to quit and start working full time remotely but they left before they could tell me about it.
