Anybody lie about college education and get a job

So I work as a video producer and am self taught. I have over 8 years professional experience doing this and am currently employed full time in this role. Most of my previous positions were contract and my current full time job I got because I was a contractor before becoming full time. I am at a point where I want to move back to my home state be closer to family and I am getting crickets when applying. It’s because I don’t have a damn bachelor’s degree and most places list it as a qualification. Pretty much all of my previous work experience aligns with their qualifications so it must be the degree. I have won fucking 3 Emmy’s and it’s very much highlighted on my resume and still nothing. And I have a great portfolio of work but it’s not being seen because I can’t get past the…

I am thinking about lying and say I have a degree. It’s not like it’s a safety or engineering job, and I am already doing it professionally. It’s a risk because I know some employers check education during background checks. Just curious if anyone else has successfully gotten away with this.
