Anyone else being asked about their “motivation to work” at the doctors?

I took the day off from work on the day I went to get my annual physical. This was briefly discussed during my small talk with my doctor. I’m not sure if it prompted her to ask the question she did or if it’s routine? At the end of my physical, my doctor asked me if I had any thoughts of depression or sadness, to which I just said no to (for obvious reasons). She followed it up with something like, “Any lack of motivation to do your daily tasks like errands/chores or going to work?” I actually thought this was a joke at first and said yes while giggling. She looked up, looked me in the eye and asked me, “Yes, you don’t want to do those things?” I responded with, “Well, no? I mean I DO them because I HAVE to… I work because I have bills… but…

This was met with a long awkward silence until she finished typing up everything and sent me on my way… wtf?
