I’ve been applying for everywhere for weeks now and it’s like… no one is hiring. Why do these places even bother with the signs and the posters and the ads if they’re so damn picky on who they hire??? Everyone needs money right now to even BREATHE; and it’s just so freaking discouraging every time I call to follow up and the phone just keeps ringing, “manager isn’t in today”, “call back at ass crack early time”, or my FAVORITE “just apply online”. I don’t understand how I’m not even old yet and it aggravates me to apply online. I don’t want to apply for 20 minutes, 40 mins depending if there’s a damn questionnaire, and then get no follow up email and the same bs of trying to call again. The only way these managers know you exist is if you talk to them because otherwise it’s out of sight out of mind. But goddamn it just feels like harassment on my end just to get my foot in any door. I’ve been doing doord*sh lately and that works but nothing works better like labor money from corporations for my bills 🫠 Rant over. I’m just so fed up with this economy and the everyday surviving cycle.
