Anyone else feel an overwhelming sense of second-hand embarrassment when witnessing coworkers ass-kiss/grovel for basic things at work?

I used to feel anger as I felt it made me look bad by comparison, but now I just feel embarrassed and genuinely bad for these people. I know it’s part of the corporate teat-sucking act, but there have to be less cringy ways to show you’re interested in not getting fired than pretending you would literally do anything to stay at a seasonal call center sales job that doesn’t pay commission.
