So I’m a teenager new to a first job. My employer is using the toast system for all the expenses at work, we just sell drinks on tap and some snacks. She is very inclined on getting high school kids for the job and I thought , cool trying to give the younger generation some first jobs. So I saw that on the toast system they give tips, and after a couple days I wondered, wait where does the tip go on my pay? It’s my first job so I wasn’t inclined to ask at first but when I did she just replied “oh no those go to support the company, you get the hourly wage on your payroll” either I’m under experienced or wrong, but I don’t feel like that’s right, anyone else know?
