So i know what you might be thinking “of course I don’t” “no one likes work” “that’s life” and I understand that.
But to elaborate on what I mean is I’m a 26 year old man that through out life had a decent work ethic but I would feel ever since around 2020 my work ethic has dramatically declined with each passing year. I come in late to work, I take longer breaks than I am suppose to, always on my phone, I slack off and over all I just don’t care.
You may be thinking I’m lazy (especially if your coming from an older generation that was taught hard work pays off) and yes in a way you’re right. I’m being a horrible employee but it’s just because my eyes have been open to that these jobs don’t care about us. Easily replaceable, ridiculous rules, never paying as much as you deserved and don’t even get me started on if you are a good worker they will just exploit you and use you. Not to mention these jobs I swear to god you spend half your day being a busy body and pretending like your productive.
If you stand out as a good worker they will abuse you with little reward meanwhile all the slackers get away with their BS. I’m aware I’m the slacker now). So since corporations don’t care about us, I have no motivation to care about them.
Does anyone else feel this way? I’m in the process of trying to find another job that more fulfilling and pays better but overall I’m just tired of the game. Like I said older generations believe in hard work pays off as an employee but I personally feel those days are over. You guys had incentives to do a good job such as 401k, pension, retirement and health benefits. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to retire lmao
