not sure where to post this but figured someone here might be able to point me in the right direction, as we don't want to make the wrong move and be taken advantage of by a landlord.
my partner lives in an apartment that seemed safe enough, but we are now noticing several (new) large cracks in the walls developing, in addition to uneven floors. we emailed the property management with pictures, and they sent someone in to come “check it out”. this was several weeks ago and we haven't heard anything from the inspector or property manager.
I guess I'd like to know if there's anything we should be aware of in terms of what we should be doing, other than moving out (doing our best, lol). is this something we should be documenting for legal purposes? what are the rights we have as tenants in this situation? any advice or resources would be highly appreciated.
