I had an interesting conversation with my boss / team leader today. The overall topic was that I should not ask questions and just do my work like a robot. “It's your job to do the things I assigne you. It's not your job to know the reasons why you should do that.” On the other hand they are always saying”we're a team, we work as a team” … but sharing crucial information with you subordinates is not necessary.
Of course I'm not the easiest person to work with, I'm always looking for things to make my work and therefore life easier. My boss is that kind of person wo follows the mantra “it has been done always this way and this should not be questioned”.
I'm glad I already handed in my notice.
