So I was applying for a position via LinkedIn and it brings to me the company’s website right, and at the end of the application, after filling out every other piece of information, it asks for my profile picture.
Now I’ve heard this can happen so that the hiring team can tell if someone is obviously applying on behalf of someone, so they know during the interview round if they are legit, but it seems high key discriminatory to me and was wondering what everyone’s experience was with this sort of thing.
And yes, a picture was “required” not optional…
