Are we ever getting the minimum wage increase?

I've seen so many posts, read so many articles, and listened to so many people explain how, in accordance with the rise of inflation, our minimum wage should be upwards of around 27$ an hour. So I have to ask, is this achievable? Is there something that we, the people, can do to get this? With politicians being in the pockets of corporate officials, and so many people seeming to be acting against this movement, is this more than just some fever dream? I've seen countless stories of business owners cry about not having enough workers while hardly paying anything, and there are restaurants that are legally paying below minimum wage, sometimes as low as 2$ an hour because the workers get “plenty of tips”. Are these excuses ever going to be called out on a national level, or are we going to be stuck with the poor slowly getting…

Are these excuses ever going to be called out on a national level, or are we going to be stuck with the poor slowly getting weeded out as they slowly due out due to their inability to afford any of the necessities vital to survive?
