As a favor to head hunters who approach me with onsite opportunities, I send out the below boilerplate response. When the time comes to hire for my own department, the companies forcing remote workers back to the office will be my richest recruiting grounds. No commission fee required.

“Hi [recruiter name], thanks for reaching out, but I’m not interested in new roles at the moment. I can offer some advice though. If your client is indeed only hiring for an onsite role, I recommend they convert the position to remote or risk hiring sub-par talent while losing their best.”
