Ask the cashier for your receipt so you can throw it away yourself? Say no and the cashier has to throw it away for you? I’d like to hear what the retail folks have to say.

I’d like to hear your opinions. I feel like it’s insulting that they have to throw your receipt away for you, but if cashiers think it’s easier for them to pitch it than give it to the customer then I’m all for it.
