I work as an assistant store manager. I carry out way more than my role is meant to, and I deal with some major issues that should fall to the store manager, who has checked out and passes it all to me. I have 20 plus years exp in the trade and 8 years managerial. I asked for a raise from my $55k p.a take home to the median of $65k. This was in Jan. I was told yesterday that I won't be getting a raise, apparently there is no money for it. Yet senior management got a 5k p.a raise and the company made record profits. Enjoy spending 15k hiring and training someone to do my role when I walk, the lost customers,, and try finding my experience too.
