just curious your thoughts

Given a Job offer by Amazon. Concerned
As the title says, I recently got a management job offer by amazon for right out of college. It's more of a recruitment pitch really, but it has me concerned about it. Amazon seems to get very bad reviews from the people who work for them. Am I wrong? is this a trap? or perhaps I'm being paranoid and this is a great opportunity? I would like the thoughts of those of you who have experienced working for amazon or might know better than me.
I see some fucked up posts that reference an employer monitoring or controlling their activities, even when they’re on break or something. As a non-American: isn’t that considered creepy af and grounds to find a new job, full stop? There’s always been micromanaging people out there, but it’s a new level when they try to monitor or control you off the clock. Even on the clock, that shit’s usually insulting at best. Sometimes I feel like a friend who wants y’all to leave a bad relationship but doesn’t know how to effectively encourage it to happen.
So why does it seem like every leader or supervisor has this tactic of making you feel like crap when you make a mistake in hopes that if they make you feel like crap you definitely won’t make the same mistake twice. This seems like a toxic leadership quality and I’m just curious how a leader could do that in a healthy way or the opposite; but still have the same effect of letting you know you made a mistake and please try not to let it happen anymore. And for the terminology part, would just be putting “proper” 1 or 2 word descriptors to all the stuff I said, since I apparently can only type in paragraphs when just words would do.
I’m currently employed, been with the company for 10 years and I’m finally exploring other avenues. I have worked my way up the corporate ladder and done well for myself. However I have found a company I am really interested in working for based on the company values, so I have started applying for a couple jobs within the company. During my interviews they always ask, why are you looking to leave X company? I want to say because this is the same job that I currently do, you posted your salary range and even your starting pay is significantly higher than my current salary, why wouldn’t I want to make a move?? But that is socially unacceptable! How do you answer this question? And why is it even asked? Clearly if someone is looking for a new job they aren’t happy with their current one for a Myriad of…
Fuck it. Who doesn’t embellish their work experience in an interview. We’ll teach him what he needs to know; I’m sure he’s smart enough to catch on. Besides if we don’t give him a chance who will? He has a degree from a University in India but I’m unsure how well those transfer.
I had to pick up a job at Dunkin Donuts to try and attempt to make rent. Unfortunately the heavy lifting (Huge containers of coffee, boxes) and constantly bending down to get to the under-counter fridges is a lot on me. Does anyone with back pain from work have substance-free tips for managing the pain/preventing it in the first place? I specify substance-free because I don’t want to keep downing advil and drinking to numb the pain. I’m 21 and I was healthy before this. Now I feel like I can’t move. Any tips are appreciated, thank you
I'm really beaten up all the time. I guess I'm just not tough enough. What jobs can I look for? I have stupid degrees in acting (BA and MFA) but I don't think I could handle being a teacher. Is there anything else I can look into? Super lost, a little desperate, and very very very broke.
Corporations Suck
I got a phone call today from a corporate account manager at my company (which I just put my two weeks in this last Friday). He told me that one of my accounts (I repair and maintain dish machines for the blue company -iykyk) is closing on Thursday, and we need to take our equipment out on Friday. BUT NO ONE THERE KNOWS. Why TF do these businesses expect two weeks from us (and I'm doing it to not screw over my awesome coworkers), but they can pull shit like that?
