First time poster. I’m a graduate student, attending the same university I graduated from to get my masters. I’ve applied for this internship before, but didn’t make the final cut. This will be my last chance, as it’s a student only internship, but I was really excited to try again. I was interviewed by three people, two of them being closer to my age, and one probably in her late 40s. So I walk in, and the two younger girls were nice to me, and the older one acknowledged that she interviewed me last year. amazon doesn’t hire talent from within. i work in a fulfillment facility with a degree but it’s impossible to even meet with someone for an interview. i’ve applied and waited. talked to hr then waited followed by nothing. i spoke up about this issue in the anti union meeting met with someone from corporate then nothing. i applied again, met with the district manager and he said he can’t promise anything but he’ll reach out. so now i wait again i want to be a creative director. i want to be a boss bitch but i’m also a mom who’s struggling with a resume that has giant gaps and half of my work is from my side business gigs and not long term employment i’m tired work is hard and at amazon it’s excruciating at times. TLDR: my BF who works a maintenance job and is salaried working hella over time, has no one working underneath him and is this falsely labeled a manager so they don't have to pay him overtime. He's on call 24/7 and working way too many hours. How can I help him get the money he deserves? My BF was hired as “chief maintenance officer” for a small hotel group managed by a large corporate entity in the state of Utah about 9 months ago. He is a salaried employee, and often works well over 40 hrs per week during the busy season, and does not make overtime on those hours. I desperately want to quit. Merchants keep messing up my orders, are out of items, put in wrong merchant address and it just costs me time and effort trying to make things right with the customer and support, otherwise they offer lower and lower. It’s a daily thing and exhausting. On top of that, What are these offers?! i’m not driving 7 miles for $2.75. But i get hundreds of offers like this and my acceptance rate is terrible because of this. TF!!!!! I want to say “Tip your delivery drivers!” but it really should be “pay your workers!” it shouldn’t even be a think you offer me to spend 30 minutes of my time for anything below $12 let alone $2! I’m exhausted but I have bills coming up and After they are paid I can then buy myself food.

I’m on my phone, so if this is hard to read i apologize in advance. I’ve had it with my workplace. I’m a waitress in Toronto and I have reached my breaking point. During January we stopped doing dine ins because of lockdown and so everyones shifts got cut by a lit. Mine from 25-30 hours a week to 4 hours a week at most. When we started getting more hours (the shifts were distributed unfairly, most people got 0-4 hours a week but other workers got a full 20-40 hours), I asked my boss for more shifts because i have student loans to pay off, and she looked me straight in the eye and went “Don’t your parents pay that for you?” As if its so outrageous for someone to pay for their own schooling and it isn’t the norm? I tried unbelievably obscure usernames for about 20 minutes, even throwing in multiple numbers, and somehow they were almost all taken. The fact that this simple username was not taken says… a lot. It was too hilarious to pass up. I wonder how much hate I'll get here.
