So I had this really idiot manager who requested of me to do disgusting things like clean a toilet! Yuck!! One time, I had to clean a poop stain, and he said that he didn't care if I got my hands dirty, just get it finished. So I decided to show him what getting your hands dirty really meant. Th next day, I brought in some gloves and cooler full of cow manure from the local farm. As soon as I saw my boss, I put on the gloves and flung cow manure into his face! Then I began to chuck manure everywhere including the food. The entire batch of food was spoiled because I threw cow manure at it. I then threw manure at my co-workers and the customers. I made sure to get some on the floor. After manure was on the floor, I began to vigorously stomp…

Long post ahead, I don't know how to make tldr so please bear with me. So the CEO of the company I'm working at (a service company in Hong Kong) announced that they're releasing promotion and salary increment arrangements in mid-Mar, and any salary increases will be with retrospective effect from 1 Jan, 2022. Say if I got a salary increase of $1k, my Mar salary slip will have an extra $3k. It's not the first time they're doing this retrospective thing, they used to happen in mid-Jan pre-2019 which is totally legal and understandable, then pushed to mid-Feb in 2020 and 2021, and now even later in Mar. I told my ex-colleagues and they think it's their way of deterring staff from resigning during the peak season in Mar. For the record, our department has 200 people and my team has around 20. Only 1 of us got a…
1 Chance at life and it's this bullshit, can joining the military allow me to escape? If so what branch/job do you recommend?
Strange new undocumented policy
So I work at walmart. Tonight I come into work and a few new rules were dropped on us. A policy paper was being passed around to sign. So they have a point system for attendance. If you call off a maximum of 5 times within a 6 month period, you get terminated. This was a policy that I did sign upon being hired. Tonight, they announced that if you have 4 call offs, you will be docked 1 day every week until one of your points falls off. Essentially making any full time employee part time. And you do lose any benefits. This became effective immediately and several people have already lost hours. It doesn't affect me personally because I'm not there yet but I'm still in a huge disagreement with it. Now the policy that they passed around to have us sign was just the normal attendance policy…
Becoming a heroin addict/drug addict. I didn’t touch any hard drugs until age 25. I was probably the last person you’d imagine that would ever touch heroin. Nobody plans to be an addict quite frankly.. I believe it’s something that is programmed in our DNA, environmental factors bring it to life. I’m thankful to be in recovery but that doesn’t mean my addiction goes away. Life is much harder in recovery because you have to dig yourself out of the hole from your active addiction. You can make “plans” to rebuild your life but it’s much, much harder than you could ever imagine. I am coming up on a year almost for when I went to rehab, and in my plans; I should have a lot more than I do today. I will get it all back and then some eventually. However, what I do have? I have complete sobriety…
How do you pay your bills, rent, and basic survival utilties? What was the job and how much was your income? What was the reason you got that job in the first place? I know that some people don't have any skills, talents, or degrees. But if you don't have those things, how do you expect to make a living? Why do you think people would give you a wage to do whatever you want, live freely, if you aren't worth giving said sum of money? This is not a post bashing this subreddit AT all. I am in a similar position. I'm currently in high school. I have no talents, no skills, and my parents don't have enough money for college and I don't have the brains required for a scholarship. How would I survive after I move out? If I take a student loan, I'm sure as hell…
What are you all about?
Hey, I have been hearing a lot of things from this subreddit, ever since the infamous Fox News interview took place. I was honestly a bit thrown off by the name of the subreddit. I don't know what antiwork means? Do you guys literally mean that you guys don't want to work? Which if true, is kinda odd. I am the son of immigrants, so working has always been part of my life to a great extent. With an open mind, I will like to more about your arguments, and why work is bad.
Please help I don’t know what to do.
So last year in March I started this job in a Audio Video Equipment store as a sales person. It was going good for a while but then I got Covid and was quarantined for 3 weeks. I wanted to go back to work but my whole city went under a lockdown and then it opened in June as partially lockdown so I could only work 7.5 hrs instead of 10. But due to cut down hours they also cut my pay by 35%. I still stuck there cuz I wanted to learn and gain some experience. Now after working there for almost a year they are always harassing me and pointing out my minimal mistakes and cursing me always. When I joined this job there were 2 people including me as a sales person. But the other guy quit a few months ago and now all work and sales…
