Not sure if this belongs here, but thought I’d let it out.
I’ve worked at this family owned ice cream shop for 8 months now, and when I got hired, the owner told me everyone gets a cake on their Birthday for free. I’ve seen a few people get their cakes so far, and she usually starts making it a week in advanced.
Well my birthday is in 3 days and she has not said anything and seems to be ignoring me as well.
It is just a cake that’s mediocre at best, so I don’t really care if she doesn’t make me a cake, but for her to tell me that when hired, and now she’s not saying anything about it is weird?
I am the only guy there now, and I was told by one of the employees I’m friends with that most likely she will never promote me or give me a key to open/close by myself. For reference, this one girl was there for 2 months and she got her own key to open and close the shop herself and trusted her fully. (She quit the day after she got the key so that’s funny lol) I’ve been there over 8 and she has to watch me every time and won’t leave me alone in the store most of the time.
I want to leave as soon as I can since out manager is like a Karen, but what do y’all think. It’s just a cake but I feel she most likely not gonna make me a cake cuz she doesn’t like me since I don’t listen to every single rule she has down the the dot or kiss up to her
