So, I like my job. But, there's no money in it. I got a second job about a month ago, already got a raise as a matter of fact. I let my current job know that we will have to start reducing my hours to only weekends. I told them this when I started the new job. I normally work up to 5 days a week and I'm on call or working every single day at my new job. I also let them know that I'm not trying to rush them on this. I'm a pretty malleable person, I don't complain, I come to work, I do my job and I like it. I just got my schedule for next week and they have me scheduled 6/7 days and if I'm being realistic it will probably end up being more like 9/10.
I was pretty upset to say the least, they have done nothing to even attempt making things a little easier on me. So, I officially changed my availability in our scheduling app. It now says as of two weeks from now (…loyalty…) that I'm only available on Saturday and Sunday. I was going to give them Friday through Sunday but, since we're out here playing games I guess it's time to negotiate. This is going into effect in that two weeks too, if they decide they're not going to approve it, then that's just the schedule I'm going to have, regardless. They can schedule me Monday through Friday and I'm showing up on Saturday and Sunday.
Cherry on top? I only make a dollar over minimum wage.
