bear with me while I vent about my workplace

So I used to work at a cinema and despite being one of the best workers who knew 90% of the job (I even trained new team leaders) they were never going to promote me so I left, had an interview for a petrol station and in my interview with the manager he confirmed I would come in as a supervisor, 3 months of training first but then promoted and back paid, brilliant right? Wrong! Let's go through a list of shit at this job 3 months training to become a supervisor? Still a sales assistant and someone else is supervisor My work schedule will work around my partners so we can see each other? Nope, she works a 9-5 and I work 2-10, so for 13 hours a day, we don't see each other despite being told that I'd only have to work 2 late shifts a week I…

Let's go through a list of shit at this job

3 months training to become a supervisor? Still a sales assistant and someone else is supervisor

My work schedule will work around my partners so we can see each other? Nope, she works a 9-5 and I work 2-10, so for 13 hours a day, we don't see each other despite being told that I'd only have to work 2 late shifts a week

I will ALWAYS have Sunday off to again, see my partner? I've worked at least half the Sundays since I've been here

Half hour break each shift? I work solo so no one to cover me for a break (and yes, this is illegal)

No drinking water (once again, illegal)

1 single Manual Call Point on the other side of the building (those red buttons you press when there's a fire) (which I don't know if that's illegal or not but fucking dodgy because, again this is a petrol station)

My fire training was “run away”. Guess what? Illegal

The place is an absolute shit show, it's make depressed and makes me want to huff car fumes or light a match in the middle of the forecourt but there's nothing better out there and when there is the jobs already gone when I apply. I feel like I'm stuck. The ONLY good thing here is the money is a little better than at the cinema but damn if I'm not tempting to grovel for my job back

Ps. I've been here about 10 months now and I'm not the only one getting sick of this shit.

Rant over, sorry.
