Being against immigration is not racist and has everything to do with companies wanting to lower wages

There have been multiple arguments made by left-wing politicians as to why we need more immigrants and I will address some of the common ones. “People do not want to work certain jobs that immigrants would happily do.” People do not want to work these jobs because they pay nowhere near as much as they should or enough to be able to live comfortably. “People do not want to work certain jobs that immigrants would happily do.”

People do not want to work these jobs because they pay nowhere near as much as they should or enough to be able to live comfortably. These jobs are usually blue collar, which increases your chance of injury and general health degradation. People should be paid very well and provided with health care instead of importing cheap labor.

“We need immigrants because our birth rates are too low.”

Birth rates in western nations are too low because people do not have enough money to have kids. Bringing in immigrants is a band-aid solution because they will not have enough money to have enough kids to keep birth rates stable. Meaning that we need even more immigrants later on. Also their kids will be encouraged to work different jobs by their parents meaning that there will still be a shortage of blue collar works. Instead, workers who are underpaid should get paid enough to comfortably have multiple children.

“There is a shortage of specialized workers.”

There is a shortage of companies willing to train employees. It’s that simple. But it costs money for the companies to train employees and they can pay immigrants less money.

“It’s racist and inconsiderate to not accept immigrants.”

It’s racist and inconsiderate to your nation’s citizens and marginalized communities to not create laws that force companies to match their employees salary with how much their productivity has increased over the past 50 years or so.
