So late last summer I’d been given a job rec by a friend for a major retailer. It started off with an interview link that was broken causing me to be late to a group interview.
Needless to say I got combative with the recruiter about both via email, and then during the group interview when I finally got in, was very direct and forward with my answers to some manager about half my age (picture the waiter from office space with all the flair but as a manager)
Not even 24 hours later they got back to me and I was told I was selected for the position…I ended up turning it down because I didn’t want to work for this retailer after that mess and shortly thereafter landed my dream job that didn’t involve retail, paid more, and didn’t have me working for some know it all half my age.
