My son (24) and I have worked for a small home rehab company for a few years off and on. Really just for extra money or when I’m between jobs. Recently it got bought out by a larger firm. They called me yesterday and asked for our help in the area to demolish the interior of a home. They offered me $17/hour for as long as I needed which is cool, but they said my son could help but he’d only get $10/hour because he has special needs. The previous company paid us equally. WTF? How is they even close to legal?
